Important to Know

  • Have your final document and required signers ready.
  • For in-person appointments, identification must satisfy M.G.L. c. 222, §1. Tell us about missing or expired identification before booking; a relative or an available document witness does not automatically qualify as a credible identifying witness.
  • Confirm document-witness requirements with your attorney or receiving organization. Witness availability, qualifications, and any possible dual role must be checked for the specific document; the notary is not automatically your document witness.
  • Tell us about printing, access restrictions, and timing needs when requesting a quote.
  • EmilesGroup does not provide legal advice or select legal documents.
  • A booking does not guarantee that a notarization can lawfully be completed. We cannot proceed when identity, willingness, awareness, document completeness, or another legal requirement is not satisfied. Notarization does not approve the document’s contents or legal effect.
  • No notarization fee is charged for voting materials or the U.S. military veterans’ benefit applications and claims covered by M.G.L. c. 222, §23. Tell us before booking so the applicable fee-free requirements can be confirmed; no package fee is used to bypass that protection.
  • Mobile appointments take place in person within Massachusetts. We do not currently offer remote online notarization.
