We are a private service. The Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth issues the apostille.

Massachusetts apostille help, one clear step at a time

Start with the document type, issuing state or agency, destination country, document count, and deadline. We use that information to check whether your request fits our Massachusetts coordination service. Please send a general description first—not identity documents, private records, or originals.

Birth, marriage & death records

Inquire about a Massachusetts certified record you already hold. We check the submission requirements for the record presented; a home photocopy is not a replacement for an official certified record.

Diplomas & school records

Tell us which Massachusetts school issued the record and what the receiving organization requested. School certification or notarization arrangements must be confirmed before submission.

Notarized documents

For an existing document with a Massachusetts notarization, we check the published submission requirements. If a new notarization is needed, a mobile notary appointment is separately quoted.

Court & business documents

Describe the issuing court or agency and the document you already have. Eligibility depends on the actual record and official signature, not simply the document’s title.

Massachusetts apostille service pricing

$225 standard package

For one eligible Massachusetts document, with up to 90 minutes of administrative work: intake against published instructions, preparation of your approved submission packet, coordination of the agreed submission method, and status and return coordination.

The package includes administrative coordination, the $6 Massachusetts state fee, standard tracked submission mailing, and one standard tracked return shipment to a U.S. address. Agency processing time is not billed as administrative work.

What is quoted separately?

You cover delivery of your documents to us. Local pickup or hand-delivery, additional documents, mobile notarization, and dedicated government-office trips are separately quoted. We do not obtain replacement certified records; you obtain them from the issuing office.

Overnight, expedited, and international shipping are not included. Any shipping upgrade or additional work is quoted for your approval before we proceed.

We confirm the route, anticipated work, deadline, handling arrangements, and full payable total before accepting payment or original records. Work beyond the agreed allowance requires your approval. No surprise additions or automatic rush charges.

How apostille coordination works

  1. Describe your request. Share your town, document type and count, issuing jurisdiction, destination country, and deadline.
  2. Review your quote. We confirm what we can handle, how documents will be submitted, what the $225 package includes, and any optional charges.
  3. Approve the packet and handoff. Provide the required documents only through the agreed method. We coordinate the authorized administrative steps.
  4. Receive updates and return arrangements. We follow up within the agreed scope and coordinate the return. The agency decides whether it can issue the certificate.

Apostille questions answered

Can I apply directly instead?

Yes. Using a private facilitator is optional. Massachusetts currently charges $6 per apostille or certification. Review the Secretary’s official instructions and request form for direct submission.

How long does a Massachusetts apostille take?

The state currently lists two to three weeks for mailed requests, before allowing for transit. Counter handling has document-count and time-of-day limits. We confirm the proposed submission route before quoting a timeline; we do not guarantee same-day completion, government processing, or foreign acceptance.

Does every document need notarization?

No. Requirements depend on the record and the official who signed it. Massachusetts certifies eligible original official signatures; a photocopied signature is not sufficient. Do not add notarization to a vital record without checking the applicable instructions.

What if my document is federal or from another state?

Federal records, including FBI records, and documents issued elsewhere follow different routes. They are outside this standard Massachusetts service. We confirm that limitation before accepting a request; we do not advertise nationwide or federal processing as included.

What if the destination requires something other than an apostille?

Tell us the destination country and provide the receiving organization’s instructions. A different authentication or legalization process may apply. Embassy legalization and translation are not included in this service.

Service boundaries & document care

EmilesGroup LLC provides administrative coordination, not legal advice, document drafting, immigration advice, or government certification. We do not obtain supporting records or submit immigration applications for clients. We do not accept immigration-case document preparation, supporting-record procurement, or immigration-application submission. Refer immigration and citizenship eligibility questions to a qualified attorney or other legally authorized professional. Apostille coordination does not determine whether a document satisfies a foreign legal requirement.

Do not mail originals or send confidential records until we confirm the scope and handling method. Advances credit toward your total; unused amounts are refundable after authorized work and approved nonrecoverable costs are accounted for. Read booking and cancellation terms.
